I used gel food color and the pink faded a bit. It was okay, didn't ruin my cake but I was wondering what happened to it? Was it the mmf? or my food color?
Has anyone had this happen to them? IF so how do I prevent it for next time?
All the time. Purple is the worst. Seems to happen more often in the summer. It helps it you can keep your cake somewhere dark. I put a cardboard box over my cakes when they're done before they're picked up. I guess you could also put them in the fridge but mine also sweat badly coming to room temp after they been in the fridge.
