I have to make 8 chick's and 8 bumble bee's out of fondant.
How many days in advance can I make them and they will still be able to be eaten? Don't want them rock hard.

Links to a sample I made:

Those are really cute! I always make my figures 1 or even 2 weeks in advance. They do get hard, but I think if you don't use any gumpaste they will still be fine. Good luck! icon_smile.gif

if you keep them in an airtight container they will remain soft.

LOL! Funny you would ask! I got a baby mold about 8 months ago & my mom was so tickled with it that she made me make her a fondant baby. I was just at her house tonight & she STILL has the baby! Still in the ziplock bag I sent it in. I wouldn't eat it, but it wasn't molded or anything! Makes you wonder how many preservatives are in those marshmallows of that fondant! icon_confused.gif
