Just thought I'd throw this out there...
I don't like using those plug-in air fresheners. Not good for you! So I put like 3 cups of water and 1Tbsp. Wilton Clear Vanilla in a pot and boil it, makes your house smell DELISH! Keep filling with water as it gets low.

I use to do the same thing with orange peels and cloves. My problem is that you have to remember to keep an eye on it or it will cook down and make a mess in your pot.

My daughter bought a "mini" slow cooker pot and did the same. Don't have to babysit it to make sure the water doesn't cook down.
