Hello everyone, i was wondering what would be the best way to make a concave or corset shaped tier? like the middle tier of this cake

I was wondering the same thing then after looking again, I figured that you can do something like 8, 7, 6 then 6, 7, 8 or eliminate the second 6 inch layer and go 8, 7, 6, 7, 8 and work from there. Hope that makes sense.

I did something like that recently just not as extreme corset, but i just stacked 3, 8 inch cakes and carved away at it, worked pretty good.

I had a request for a guggenheim (sp?) museum... how do you do concave or angled up and out without it collapsing?
