If i wanted to make sponge bob figures what is the best material to make them out of? Fondant, gum paste? All advice is appreciated

How big are the Sponge Bob figures going to be? If they are not going to be very big I would use gum paste but if they are going to be large I would use RKT treats and then cover with gum paste. But Im not a pro so Im also interested to see what others say!

Are they standing or lying down?

I do most of my figurines from a 50/50 mix of gumpaste and MMF. It's easy to work with and dries a little harder and faster than just fondant.
