Does everyone put their cakes in the fridge after frosting and decorating?? Can they be left at room temperature??

I think many people would say that it's BETTER to leave them at room temperature. The jury is out for me on whether putting cakes in the fridge makes them lose moisture or not.

Room temp is fine as long as no perishable fillings are used that would require refrigeration.

As for "perishable fillings" if I put a canned pie filling in the middle, that can stay out, right? I know
I have to refrigerate pudding fillings, but wasn't sure about the pie fillings. TIA!
