I only play around with decorating but I was at a bakery that had wedding cake cupcakes. Is there a standard wedding cake and frosting recipe?

Nope. It's whatever the bride likes. Or are you saying that the bakery was advertising "wedding cake" as a flavor? If so it may have been either Princess flavor or an almond white.

Welcome to CC...

Not where i live
Never heard of a standard wedding recipe for any type of cake.
Every Bride wants different.

To me - a cake is a cake - how it is decorated and for what occassion it is made for is up to the customer.

Sounds like a draw card by the bakery to get the customers in... and perhaps add that extra dollar because its a *wedding* cupcake.

LOL - it would be like saying............"This pen is for writting cheques but that pen is for writting out your shopping list"
Some could fall for it - icon_wink.gif

I purchased one of the cupcakes this weekend. It is a white cake with extra vanilla added - and buttercream frosting. Nothing spectacular.
