i am making a small rocking chair cake soon and i was wondering it anyone had any advice! The cake will not rock and the only cake part will be the seat. I was thinking that dowel rods and rice crispes would be good for the rest. Also how do I make fondant look like wood?

I can only answer the "How do I make fondant look like wood" question.
I randomly cut it horizontally with my pizza cutter and add a few fondant nails to make it look more realistic.
It would be better if you can paint or air brush it with brown and black (At some parts).

What do you mean by fondant nails?
