I've been trying to find information on how to make African Violets (and their leaves) but so far my searches have turned up nothing.

Are there any specific cutters for this flower? Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

I have two types of violet cutters purchased from Global Sugar Art. The first is plastic, made by JEM, #23865; the second metal by Celcakes # 18842. I much prefer, however, to make them freehand as described by Scott Clark Woolley in his "Cakes by Design" book.

They are surprisingly easy to do and you can google African violets images or garden catalogs for examples of colors and variations.

You can see some freehand examples in my photos. They are plain violets, but the African violet is practically identical.

Hope this helps you.
