Okay so a good friend of mine is getting married this fall and I'm doing the wedding cake... and she asked me to be a bridesmaid. How do I charge her...? Just give her a discount? How much of a discount?

I'm only 20 years old and have been decorating cakes for a few years... and I haven't ran into this kind of situation yet. I knew it would only be a matter of time. PLEASE someone with experience in this kind of situation.... HELP?!

You might want to research if you're allowed to sell cakes legally in your state from a home kitchen. (then there's licensing, inspections, liability insurance, sales tax... the list goes on.)

You can start here:
(hope it helps.)

Give your friend the grocery list of ingredients have her shop for them and buy them and bring them to your house. Make the cake for free as her gift. This is legal.

Yes, just give your friend a discount or maybe, just as a wedding gift. I didn,t read in your question, that you are or aren,t licensed??? None of my business. Good luck with it all.
