Ok, so i want to make mint chocolate chip cupcakes but I am sp confused as to which mint extract to use. I only see peppermint and spearamint. I dont want it to taste like a peppermint patty. Should I mix the two? Im not a fan of mint chocochip ice cream so im not even sure of the taste it should be. PLEASE HELP!

Yes, use Peppermint. Both the Spearamint and Mint extracts will make it taste weird.

When I make my Mint Chocolate Chip cupcakes I simply add Andes Mint Chips to my chocolate batter. It adds the perfect amount of mint and people love them!

Yeah I prefer creme de menthe oil or flavoring.

I actually made chocolate cupcakes with a whole mint creme Oreo inside it and wanted to make a frosting to match. I made my regular buttercream but then I added creme de menthe oil. I'm not a mint fan but DH and DS both said it was perfection.
