I plan on making some bubbling sugar and i was told use parchment paper but Can i use wax paper as well?

No, the hot sugar will melt the wax and the paper will stick to it. You do need parchment.

I was thinkin of putting nuvo alcohol in the recipe but since nuvo is a pink color liquid would that color be pink or clear?

I'm guessing it would take on a slight pink cast if you put the alcohol into the hot sugar/isomalt. The alcohol will burn off quickly, but adding that amount of water may affect the final quality of the product.

With bubble sugar, if you use good quality parchment paper, you don't even need alcohol on it. The silicone on the surface of the paper allows the sugar/isomalt to just slide down it.

Oh I see... I'm using the wilton parchment paper never used it before, which brand would you recommend?

I use Quillon (sp) that I get from GFS, but the Wilton paper is silicone coated, so it should work just fine. Best thing is to do a test.
