Do any of you have any idea as the color trends for the 2011/2012 wedding season? Been trying to figure out, and to me...it is all over the map.

Just wanted to know what your brides were using for colors and how many are in common.

Thanks!

I just read an article in the newspaper today about a local custom cake decorator who came back from doing a cake with Godiva Chocolate at a Food Network event and she was commenting that one of the color trends in wedding cakes is silver.

Just did a Tiffany blue and have a yellow, an ivory and a white with green trim booked. No one color stands out, but the Tiffany Blue cake came to me as a photo. Sounds like it might be a hot color this year.

I have a purple lapis cake for the end of April. It seems to be real trendy; but I'm finding it hard to figure out how to tint my BC (the shade must match the invitation!)!! Any ideas out there?

I find hardly any of my brides concern themselves with what some magazine says is 'the colour of the season", LOL...they just go with what fits their style best.

Having said that - with Prince William and Kate getting engaged, it was APPARENTLY meant to be all about royal blue and silver. Go figure.
