Hey!

I'm making an evil themed cake for a party coming up, and I had the idea to have one layer have splattered blood all over it.

What do I used for the blood splatter? I was thinking colored gel, but do I dilute it with something? Any suggestions? I'm completely lost!

I did a zombie cake in October and used red airbrush color for blood splatters. It dried dark red like blood in some places where it pooled more and dried lighter red in some spots like it was fresh blood. It worked like a charm!

you might be able to pm the baker and ask how they made the blood spatters

You can dip a brush in the red color. and let it drop, or just tap the brush with you finger and get these results also.

I made blood splatter by mixing red food gel with piping gel to give the blood some "substance."
