I have been doing cakes for a while and havent ran into this problem yet but here lately I have been having a problem with my boards staining from the icing. I use foam core and I cover them like four times with wax paper. Has anyone else had this problem? I even thought about using parchment paper instead of wax paper??? I dont know??

There have been a lot of posts about this if you do a SEARCH on the topic.

But, I cover my boards with wrapping paper then use the gift-basket clear plastic found at Michaels or Hobby Lobby and shrink wrap the board with it. It is food safe ( I read somewhere on CC that the colored plastic is not food safe but I do not know that for sure). You can use ribbon around the edge also. I use a blow dryer to shrink-wrap it.
