Hello all of you home decorators

Can house cleaning services be considered a business expense? Just curious since tax season is now here.

If you have separate space that is used exclusively for your business (i.e. a dedicated second kitchen in your home or a home office) then you should be able to deduct a percentage of the cleaning cost based on how much of your total square footage is business space. For example, if you have a second 200sf kitchen you use just for your business in your 2000sf house, and the cleaning costs $300, you could conceivably deduct $30.

I wouldn't deduct anything if you have no exclusive business space in your home.
