Dear all, what is the best way to decorate the cake board with fondant?
do u do it before or after? if before do you cover with papers? I feel it's gonna make my work on the cake harder this way but I really love how those boards look like! I want detailed help pls! love u :*

I only recently starting covering my board with fondant. On smaller cakes, I've just placed the cake on the cardboards wraped in foil and then covered the exposed edges with fondant. On some larger cakes where I used plywood or foamcore base, I've covered the entire board straight with fondant then set the cake on top. It is more work, but IMHO it makes the entire cake look better!
