Fondant Help!!!

My fondant is not doing right. It is to dry and falling apart! I have been making the same fondant for 2 years and never had it do this before! What can I do to fix it. Cake is due in the morning and I have no more fondant1

Try adding some veg shortening. Just rub it on your hands and then use your hands to knead the fondant.

maybe you can answer me this question, I know that you can use shortning to help with the dryness, but I was told or read something about adding some light corn syruo to it also, have never tried it, have you heard of this before? A little icon_confused.gif

Try microwaving it for a few seconds, maybe 10 seconds or so. Be careful because it gets hot and soft fast. I heard the light karo syrup added to the elasticity of the fondant but have never tried it myself.

Also, can,t you add a little glycerine? I have done this. I make regular fondant , not mmf.hth
