I've been makign cakes since I was a teeanger, but until recently it has always been for friends and family. Now that people are seeing my work they want to place orders! There aren't many bakers around here that use fondant, and I've check with some of them to get an idea on pricing for basic cakes...but I'm completely lost when it comes to the custom fondant work. I can spend a lot of time on fondant bows, flowers, and figurines. How should I calculate in the time I spend fussing with these items? Any suggestions?
