I'm making a smash cake for a 1 year old. The cake will be very small, but how do I sculpt out the head of a giraffe? do I use 8 inch rounds? squares? I don't want the whole head to be rice krispies b/c i want him to be able to sink his teeth and hands into it?

Can anyone give me some tips advice????

I have a baby shower cake with a fondant/gumpaste giraffe head. Maybe you could do fondant/gumpaste on top of the child's cake. Check out my pic's to see what I am talking about.
