I need to make an ice cream cake that has a deep purple icing. I was thinking either SMBC or Bettercreme, but am wondering which will be better for taking the color.

With either, can I color it w/ Americolor, and then deepen it with purple airbrush?

Wondering the best way to go about this...or should I just go w/ a regular buttercream icing?
