When I was at the OSSAS, there was a Koala bear that looked exactly like a stuffed animal. I have also seen pieces that look like suede. I have not been able to find any information on this technique. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks!

Possibly royal icing applied with a sponge over fondant.....? The smoother the sponge, the smoother the texture. Not really sure. Good luck, I hope you find out exactly how it was done.

The suede look might be chocolate velvet spray.
