you need to whiten the buttercream with a whitening product containing titanium oxide, I usually do it first before I add the red though.

how much buttercream are you trying to color?
What size bottles did you use?
What other colors do you have available?

Walmart is open all night. They carry Wilton Red (No Taste). Get some and use a LOT (I mean a LOT!)

Also, red will deepen over night. If it's ALMOST red, it may just 'red up' on its own.

Hopefully it will deepen for you overnight.

I use a tiny bit of blue or black to deepen the color to get a darker red, hth

LauelC.....Wilton's has a bitter taste and it 's already set out 1 night.

I've never had a problem with Wilton's 'Red (No Taste)' being bitter (thus, the name).
