I've added mini chocolate chips to WASC, which works beautifully! Some bakers coat the mini chips with flour before adding to the batter, but I haven't found it to be necessary because WASC batter is fairly thick. The flavor of the cake shouldn't matter.

I've never tried full-sized chocolate chips... perhaps someone else has.

My bags of Toll House mini chips contain 12 oz. and I add half of a package.........that's about 3/4 to 1 cup, I'm guessing???

I have tried it with the large and some do tend to sink - mini is better definitely icon_smile.gif My Wasc recipe isn't thick though, so I guess it depends on which one you are using - but either way the minis work pretty well.
