Hi
I am making cake truffles for the first time

what do they get dipped in?
I searched, but all the answers seem to assume one knows the ratios, etc.

I dont want peanut butter in the chocolate
do i make a ganache?
just chocolate and butter?
whats best?
what is the 'recipe'?

TIA

Most of them are dipped in Candy melts..Wilton and Merkens to name a few sell colored melts. There is also a cake ball thread on here somewhere which list lots of variations of recipes..

You can use almond bark or choc. chips with a bit of wax added.

candy melts are the way to go. tried to make some from "scratch" and the chocolate kept lumping and making a mess. from now on I'm sticking with the candy melts
