Ok i have an order for a barber shop Pole cake. I am looking for help in making a stand to hold this cake. Yes i would like to have it standing up.
If i run out of time guess it will be laying down. Its for about 25 people so its not going to be a big cake
any tips would be helpful.
Thanks

I did a lipstick cake in my pics that was standing up. I used a cake drum (several layers of thick cardboard covered in the silver paper). I made sure and used cardboard rounds and dowels for support, and also put a center dowel in for more stability that I made sure went through the base.

You could use a masonite/wood board for more weight to make sure it isn't top heavy and use pvc or wood for center with flanges or something to attach it, then put the cake on it layer by layer. I would still use the cardboard rounds and other dowels for support or it would crush under its own weight.
