I have been asked to make a 3 tier wedding cake and have been given an initial cake topper to put on top. I have not used cake toppers before like this and would like some advice on how to attach it to the cake. The topper it self isnt' overly heavy, it is thin so it has about a 1 inch spike to hold it up. Is this enough to hold it up on the top layer (cake will be covered in fondant)?
