Not sure where to post my question.
I've seen a lot of discussion on whether to buy a 2 inch or 3 inch cake pan. I'm just starting out and have a small place to store the pans. Could I use 3 " pans to also bake a 2 inch high cake, by just not filling it as high?

I would think so - may have to experiment with the number of cups of batter you put in to get the height you want but I think its a smart idea, rather than having 2" pans and 3" pans.
