I have been making cake balls for awhile, and for Valentine's day wanted to offere cake pops - shaped as hearts. But I am having the HARDEST time shaping the "balls" into hearts! I have these heart-shaped molds that I've put the cake (already mixed with the frosting) into, and have tried to let them "harded" in the fridge...but when I try to pop them out of the mold, they become all "meh" and not very heart-y. Help!

I used a heart shaped pan and sprayed the pan first with pam - then I froze them for awhile. They didn't exactly pop out, but they came out pretty good. You can also use a cookie cutter or a silicone shaped mold.

I did roll it out and use a cookie cutter and it worked very well if I let it chill in the freezer before cutting out. Right now, they are cut and back in freezer waiting for me to make time to dip in chocolate. HTH
