HI Everyone, i'm new to this and was wondering if anyone knew how to make buttercream icing look shiny/glossy. A friend is making a wedding cake and asked me how and the only thing I could think of was airbrush pearl over cake. Any ideas that might help? thank you icon_wink.gif

Blow the frosting with a blow dryer.

I was talking with a friend over the weekend and she told me to take piping gel and water and boil it until it's the consistency of maple syrup. Then airbrush that on to the cake. The cake she did like that looked wonderful! HTH

You can buy a Preval Sprayer at Home Depot for about $5 and make a mixture of Vodka and Super Pearl and then spray that on it. I use it on just about all of my cakes.
