This is a baby shower cake which someone just gave me a picture of. I tracked it down to CakeCentral.com and would like someone to help me kind of disect it so I can at least decide if I'm capable of doing this cake. Please help me!!! icon_smile.gif

Is that cake you are asking about?

If so, it looks pretty simple, as long as you plan things out.
After you ice the cake and cov with fondant, if you want to (you can just ice it), cut out the shapes from fondant with cookie cutters and attach them. The swag a look they are just cut freehand, but you could just make a template out of paper or cardboard (I use parchment), lay it on the fondant and cut around it. You can use an impression mat to make the design on the swags. Do that before you cut the shapes. Then it is just a star tip for the border.
You can use any border you like.
