I have a great carrot cake just sitting waiting to be filled and iced but am desperate to do something other than just the same old cream cheese filling. I'm definitely icing in cream cheese though but need your filling opinions. Here were my thoughts:

orange marmalade
Dulche de leche
Caramel
orange cream cheese

Anyone have any recommendations? Or something I haven't thought about yet? I just need to kick it up a notch.

Pineapple filling of some type. Toasted pecans. Praline Pecans.

Caramel sounds good...I've heard of people filling in a pineapple filling as well, that might be good too.
