Hi everyone. I have a cake in my head that I want to do for my g-daughters 11th b-day. The theme of the party is Alice in Wonderland, the one with Jonny Depp. Ok so my thought is to do a table for the base, with a tipped chair on top, the next tier as a top hat, then a tea cup with the top being a teapot. Now these don't have to be real big and some could be made out of RKT's. Then I want to add gumpaste figures on some of the tiers. Can anyone tell me how I could build this? Not sure how to make the chair either.

That sounds like a challenging cake and I can't say I've ever done anything that complex. However, the first thing I thought of for the chair is pastillage. I have never used it, but I understand it is strong. Then you could do the other figurines out of gumpaste.
Good luck and please post pics after!

I think you could make the chair using small dowels covered in fondant with a RKT for the back and seat area. dowels could also secure it to the cake. Not sure if you wanted to do the entire cake edible tho.
