most recipes for brownies are for a 8" sq pan. will it bake the same in a half sheet pan? i need to make a large grooms cake but they want brownie instead of cake.

I double my recipe and bake it in a 13 X 9 pan. I've never adjusted anything and the only problem, so to speak, is that the edges are crisper.

I do find that when I double my brownie recipe to a 9x13 it does need to bake at least 10-15 minutes longer. you can always tell from the toothpick test though...

The brownie recipe on the back of King Arthur unbleached white flour bakes in a 9x13 pan (in fact, I made some this afternoon!). I imagine if you double it you can bake it in a half sheet pan. Since the depth is about the same, you shouldn't have to adjust the baking time.
