I am making a small simple cake that I want the BC to be ivory/cream colored. The last time I used Wilton's Ivory, it turned my icing a putrid shade of orange. Would just a tiny bit of brown make the desired color, or should I try something different?

I never use Wilton colors for anything. I like Americolor and they make Ivory. I used it for my last 2 tiered wedding cake (in my gallery). LOVE Americolor!

Use natural vanilla extract without the seeds, just the right shade and who doesn't love vanilla icon_smile.gif

I have had success with the wilton ivory, but it a veeery small amount must be used. If it turned orange, way too much color was added.

I agree with Joycesdaughter, just a very small amount of the Wilton color is needed, if it turns orange then to much was used.
