Hi cakers and bakers and others on this forum...

I'm looking for eggcrate foam to help dry gumpaste.

My question to you is, what kind have you had success with?

I know there is soundproofing kind, mattress pad kind, and other kinds.

Did you find it local?
What type of shop did you get it at?
How much did it cost you?

Any other input you have is greatly appreciated.

You can buy it at the fabric store.

When you got it at the fabric store did you get it by the yard?

When you got it at Wal-mart did you get the mattress pad or from the audio or auto areas?

I've bought egg crate mattress pads (twin) when I've found them cheap.

We have a discount store here in OH called Marc's and I think the last pad I bought was less than $9.

I cut them up into pieces about 24" square and they work great. If you get the ones with the pretty high peaks, sometimes you can stack them with smaller flowers drying in them.

My fabric store has it in mattress size sheets or smaller pillow sizes. I bought a large pillow size and cut it into more useful sizes.

I got it in the section of wal-mart that has the yarn and art supplies.
