I had a bride tell me she saw someone who had done some chocolate dipped strawberries, made to look like they were camo. I'm thinking whoever did them, just dipped them three times (middle, left side, right side) in three different colors.. Either that or they covered in one color, then dripped other colors on top. Has anyone here ever made camo strawberries? If so, do you have a picture I can see?

This is the closest I found on google:

Maybe tint the white choc in varying shades of green to go with the brown milk choc and swirl it a little more to get a more camouflage look? Does that make sense?

The only other thing I can think of is that they used either modeling chocolate or fondant.

HTH!

Leah, that cracks me up! icon_biggrin.gif

I'm going to have to do some playing around... might as well get the technique right. I'm in Alabama, so i have a feeling if I mastered a camo strawberry, I could be rich! icon_biggrin.gif

lol leah! That is awful! I can't get rid of the creepy feeling that gave me! As for strawberries maybe dipped in one shade and painted the other two colors

Eww Leah those look moldy!!!! haha.

Some camo is shades of brown...seems like you could make different shades of chocolate by mixing in varying amounts of white and dark chocolate together.... and then just dip the berry in a light chocolate and quickly pipe blobs of the other shades on it...tap it a bit....scrape off the bottom, and let dry. I probably would try to avoid green!

Can you use Wilton spray stuff on chocolate?
