WHY would Wilton make a maroon that is PINK? It's HOT pink!!! I'm frustrated because I added a TON of it to a batch of MMF to make a cake- it's supposed to be a law school book, and a lot of them are maroon- actually MAROON, which is the color on the stupid bottle, but my MMF is bright fuchsia. Now I have to go BACK to the store and get 50 bottles of red and try and make maroon myself with red and black, which is no doubt going to be another nightmare and make yet another batch of MMF. Ugh. Sometimes the cake life is not all it's cracked up to be!

If you start with purchased red fondant and add a little violet and a pinch of red you will cut the frustration in half. icon_smile.gif and we know cake decorating is like giving birth, you forget the pain once you take a look at that masterpiece icon_smile.gif good luck

Ditto what cakesnglass said...use red and violet, definitely not red and black!
