I am trying to make a Thomas cake for my nephew and I was using BC because it tastes better....but the cake looks so sloppy. Is it possible to scrape the frosting off and do fondant now? The party is tomorrow. I will try and post a picture. I am a hobby baker and do this for family for fun so I thought I would ask the pros. Thanks for any helpless

If the buttercream is smooth, why not just put the fondant over it. You are suppose to have a layer of buttercream on the cake to get the fondant to stick. It has to be smooth though.

Thanks, I went ahead and took the buttercream accents off and put fondant accents on, I think it looks much better. it is in my pics. not the quality of the amazing bakers on here but not bad for me. Thanks TFL
