When looking at serving charts, do they consider a sheet cake stacked or one layer? I'm trying to figure out how much a single layer quarter, half, and full sheet cake would serve, and what the correct piece sizes would be and am confused.

Hi, I use Wilton sheet cake pans sizes 9x13 and 12x18. I make 24 / 2" squares when I cut the cake
into squares(say for a large party) that's one layer. I make 54 / 2" squares from a 12x18 pan (single layer). It seems Wilton's chart says a 12x 18 double layer serves 108 which is twice the size so this is what I use as my guide. I hardly ever use a full sheet. I hope this helps you some.
