I'm getting a little frustrated with my fondant bubbling.. when i make a vanilla cake or spongy cake thats a little softer than a mud cake variety my fondant doesn't lie flat it bubbles up and has little lumps and bumps etc.. Especially around the sides when i'm trying to smooth it with my smoother.. I do live in a hot/humid climate so is this because the fondant and buttercream underneath are softening under the conditions?
How do I get my fondant more flawless with a flatter top and sides??
Thanks.
heat and humidity will definitely cause you to get bubbles under your fondant. Do you have ac, fan, dehumidifier? any or all of these will help, especially ac.
