Can buttercream frosting made with whipping cream be left unrefrigerated over night? It will be on the cake, and under the fondant, not just in a bowl on the countertop I am making a fondant covered cake, and found an amazing buttercream recipe for the crumb coat and in between layers, but I typically do the cakes a night before the event and wonder if this is safe? Thanks
I'm not sure which recipe you use, but i use Indydebi's BC, and I have used whipping cream as the liquid. There is no need to refrigerate that icing at all.
