I have made one Topsy Turvey cake and it didnt go well. I dont think I had my slopes right, the fondant caused the cake to round and not keep the straight edge.
I need some help with this as my niece wants on for her bday. She will not take NO for an answer.
So can someone please tell me, how high do you bake your cakes before you slope them? Can I use any recipe cake mix for these? What do recipe/box mix do you use? Any other pointers I need to know.

I highly recommend the dvd that Sharon Zambito has on topsy turvey or the how to from Edna Delacruz. I had never did a topsy turvey cake and had to do one around Halloween time. SHe covered everything you can think of with doing this type of cake!
