hi! I have an order due next Sat. for some sugar cookies without egg. My friend's son is allergic to them. She told me about Ener-G egg replacer for baking. Do I just use that in place of eggs in my regular sugar cookie recipe, or do I need to use a special recipe?

Thanks!

It is always easier to find an eggless recipe that does not require an ingredient substitution ..

Eggless Sugar Cookies - Easy & yummy
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening or butter
2/3 c. sour milk*
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. soda
3 c. flour
* Before you begin, pour 1 tb lemon juice into a measuring cup - top it up to "3/4 cup" mark with milk. Let it sit.
Cream sugar and shortening. Add sour milk and vanilla.
Add dry ingredients. Roll out on floured surface. Cut and bake on baking sheet at 375 degrees for 15-18 minutes. (Soft cookie.)
