I think a cream cheese icing would be tasty with lemon poppyseed

Lemon or a berry (raspberry, blueberry, strawberry) SMBC. If he's of age, a Chambord SMBC is super yum with lemon cake.
This is my very favorite recipe to go with lemon poppy seed cake. This only makes a small amount, so I always double it.
# 3/4 cup (11/2 sticks) butter, softened
# 6 Tbsp sour cream
# 1 lb confectioners sugar
# 1 tsp almond extract
It is amazing with lemon anything.

Our hands-down favourite icing with lemon poppyseed is caramel icing! It is brown so that will be a consideration but it's fantastic! Let me know if you would like the recipe.
