Just made a huge batch of blue frosting........few minutes after adding the color i noticed it wasn't mixing thoroughly, and now there are white specks throughout. It looks almost silvery blue now b/c of this.
Is there any way to fix it? any ideas on what went wrong?
My guess is you are making a darker blue and had to add alot of coloring into the icing? Was your icing already thin to begin with?
My thoughts are that when adding alot of coloring into icing it affects the ratios. When I am doing darker colors I usually stir in some cornstarch to help abosorb the extra liquid. You could also mix in some powder sugar.
