Black Forest!!!

Okay, so I looked thru a few pages and with no luck I figured I would post I need to make a Black Forest Cake on thursday and have no idea how to do it!!! I need a recipe idea of how to do you make the cherry filling....ahhhh i need help!!! icon_wink.gif

I have one on my photos. They are really simple - American Version. I dont have the recipe cause I am at work, but I can get it to you. Send me a PM if your interested.

Dont make the filling - buy it at the grocery.

ditto what Tclanton says...I buy the cherry pie filling from the store and just bake chocolate fudge cakes using Betty Crocker mixes.I drizzle chocolate fudge over the filling.Ice the outside with a whipped bakery icing and whipped cream ontop and shave chocolate over top and marachino cherries with the stems on....Not the true Black forest but pretty darn good!!

Ditto on the buying cherry filling, sooooo good! Ideally add some kirsh liquer for authenticity but the filling is so good by itself it doesn't matter if you don't.

I normally use Comstock, but I am sure there are others that are just as good.
