Hi everyone! A friend asked me what the difference in between say Domino sugar and a store brand of sugar. Anybody know if there is a difference? I know some store brands are more like superfine sugar. Some say one is pure cane and one is beet sugar? Don't know what that is but I'm asking the pros on here. Thanks!

I too would like to know since the price of sugar is inching upward...I'm thinking of buying a store brand to save a few bucks. detective.gif

You can google it and get quite a bit of information. One difference I have heard is that the off brand sugar is not always uniform in size and the bigger crystals will not melt in baking. As for the ingredients, that should be on the package.
