for a cake shop? I am thinking for way down the line, but wanted to start brainstorming. I would only want to do cakes at first, but then maybe cookies and cupcakes. Didn't know if it would sound like a candy store or just sound sweet and fun.

Any opinions are very much appreciated.

The creators of Candy Land the board game might not like it too much.

I does kinda have that "Candy" impact, since your doing only cakes it may be a little confusing.
Finding the right name is difficult, seems all the good ones are taken. When I was looking for a name I would think of one then google it to see if there were any other cake designers in the area with the same name. Good Luck

Sounds juvenile. The childrens' game comes to mind only.

Love the name but It does make me think of lollies, we have a place here called Candyland and all they sell/make are lollies and chocolate - no cake or baked goods.

Thanks so much for the input. I don't think I would mind the child-like ring to it because I do mostly children's cakes, but I figured it would seem like a candy store. Oh well, back to brainstorming.

I also really liked Sweet Street Confectionery, but I googled that and there is this big fudge company called Sweet Street Confections. That's out I guess too, lol.

Like I said, it won't be till way far down the line so I have alot of time to think.

Thanks again!!!

Well, aside that Milton Bradley may not appriciate it, I think it sounds rather nice if you're aiming it towards kids cakes anyway. Have you considered just doing Candy Land Cakes?

I've considered Sweet Street myself, but just figured I'm sure someone else has done it! One thing that came to mind right after that though was to be sure to pick a name that would be easy to say over the phone. Granted, I do have a slight stammer, but I think anyone could get a little tongue tied what trying to say "Sweet Street Cakes, how can I help you?" on the phone several times a day.
