Hi everyone,

Ok, so I'm quoting a 3-D Thomas the Train cake with engineer for $190. Does that sound about right?? I'm always affraid of quoting too high, but I'm tired of shorting myself!

Thanks!

Karen

I haven't completely decided the dimensions of the cake yet, just that it will need to feed 40 people. I will also be making the engineer out of RKT.

Thanks!

without knowing how many servings it's hard to tell. For a 3D cake i charge anywhere from 150% to 200% times my normal price per serving depending on the detail and time involved.

However for a Thomas the Train cake i wouldn't charge anything because it's a copyrighted character and it would take me to much time to get permission from the copyright holder to make it worth my while.

Methinks you are a couple hundred dollars short on that estimate.
